Exhibition schedule continues for BGSU Friday night at Dayton
The Bowling Green State University men's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to No. 2-ranked Indiana University in a scrimmage on Monday night (Aug. 19). The match was held at Grand Park in Westfield, Ind.
Herbert Endeley gave the Hoosiers the lead in the 38th minute of the scrimmage, which consisted of three 30-minute periods. Thomas Warr doubled the IU advantage three minutes later, and Joe Schmidt capped the scoring in the 58th minute of action.
"This was exactly the game we needed at this point in the process," said BGSU head coach Eric Nichols. "We knew we had work to do. Now we have a much clearer idea of where to focus that work.

"We certainly have areas that need considerable improvement, but there were also some things we did quite well that we will build upon."
The Falcons wrap up the exhibition schedule on Friday evening (Aug. 23) at Dayton. That scrimmage is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. The regular season begins the following Friday, Aug. 30, at Duquesne, and the home opener is set for Sept. 13 vs. Ohio State.
