Falcons Tabbed For Second Place Finish In MAC Preseason Poll

Cleveland, Ohio - The 2019 Mid-American Conference Volleyball Preseason Poll was released on Tuesday (Aug. 27) morning. Bowling Green was picked to finish second in the East Division, as voted on by the conference's 12 head coaches. The Falcons received two votes to win the regular season, and four votes to win the 2019 MAC Tournament.Â

Miami was picked to win the East Division, regular season title and tournament title with Ball State being picked to win the MAC West. Miami, Bowling Green, Ohio and Western Michigan received votes to win the regular-season with OU's eight votes topping BGSU's two. Miami's six votes were the most for the tournament champions, followed closely by Bowling Green's four.Â
A year ago, the Falcons topped the MAC regular season standings, capturing the second of back-to-back MAC titles for the Orange and Brown. Bowling Green won their exhibition match against Gannon, 3-1, this past Saturday (Aug. 24). BGSU will begin their regular season on Friday (Aug. 30) participating in the Golden Dome Invitational before returning home to the Stroh Center to host the Hampton Inn Bowling Green Invitational on Sept. 6 and 7.
