Sullivan, Marciniak Named Jet's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Jet's Pizza Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are men's soccer player Chris Sullivan and volleyball player Isabelle Marciniak.
Male Athlete of the Week
Chris Sullivan, a junior from Naperville, Ill., had a goal and an assist as the men's soccer team downed Canisius, 4-1, on Saturday night. The four-goal output was BG's highest in over three years. Sullivan scored the Falcons' first goal, tying the game early in the second half, then added an assist on a goal by Matt Walters that closed the scoring.Â

Female Athlete of the Week
Isabelle Marciniak, a senior from Lambertville, Mich., led the Falcons to a 2-0 start in MAC play, coming back from an 0-2 deficit against Ohio to win 3-2 followed by sweeping Kent State 3-0. Against Ohio, Marciniak logged her sixth double-double of the season with 32 assists and 19 digs, tying for the team lead with Libero Julia Walz. Marciniak then posted 42 assists in the three-set match against Kent State, marking her sixth time this season recording 40 or more assists in a single match.
