FIRST-HALF HIGHLIGHTS
• Kansas State got on the board with a 24-yard field goal on the game's opening drive. The Wildcats drove into the redzone and had first-and-goal at the BG 6-yard line. But, Karl Brooks stopped the K-State runner for no gain on first down, and Jamari Bozeman and JaJuan Hudson broke up passes on back-to-back plays to force the 'Cats into a field goal.
• BG was held to a three-and-out on the Falcons' opening drive, and Matt Naranjo punted 46 yards to the K-State 16-yard line.
• On the ensuing drive, Jordon Brown went 50 yards for a touchdown to cap a 7-play, 84-yard drive for the hosts. Brandon Perce had stopped Harry Trotter for a 2-yard loss several plays earlier, but on third-and-9, K-State QB Skylar Thompson scrambled for 14 yards and a first down.
• Davon Jones gained a total of 19 yards on back-to-back carries on the next drive, giving BG a first down at the Falcons' 37. But, the hosts held and forced a punt. Naranjo's punt was fumbled by the K-State returner, Phillip Brooks, but Brooks was able to fall on the ball before a host of Falcons arrived.
• The 'Cats extended the lead to 17 on a 17-yard run by James Gilbert on the next drive. K-State was able to convert two third-down plays on the drive.
• On the ensuing kickoff, the hosts took over at the BGSU 24 after a short kick bounced and the Wildcats pounced on it on the second-to-last play of the quarter. Trotter's 1-yard run capped that possession, and the PAT gave the Wildcats a 24-0 lead.
• A 51-yard rush by Gilbert on the next K-State drive put the ball on the BG 5-yard line, and the running back took the ball to the end zone on the next play, midway through the second quarter.
• The next K-State offensive drive saw Brooks sack Thompson for a 2-yard loss, but the Wildcats picked up a first down, and the drive culminated in a Thompson TD pass to Malik Knowles.
• The Falcons moved the ball 47 yards on the next drive. Darius Wade found Quintin Morris for a 16-yard gain, and Jones went off tackle for 19 yards on the next play, moving the Falcons into K-State territory. But, the drive stalled at the Wildcats' 36-yard line.
• The Falcons held the home team to a three-and-out on the next possession, with Nico Lautanen making the stop on a K-State QB scramble on third down. But, time ran out in the first half before the Wildcats were forced to run a fourth-down play.
SECOND-HALF HIGHLIGHTS
• A 20-yard TD pass to Knowles began the second-half scoring, but a BGSU punt was muffed by Brooks, and RB Marlow recovered at the K-State 22. On the next play, however, a sack and fumble gave the ball back to the Wildcats.
• Jevon Henderson came up with a sack to make it fourth-and-21 and force a K-State punt midway through the third quarter.
• The ensuing drive saw Wade complete a 9-yard pass to Bryson Denley for a first down, followed by a 34-yard catch-and-run by Rodell Rahmaan on the next play.
• K-State's Joe Ervin rushed for a score early in the fourth quarter.
• The Falcon defense held and forced a K-State punt near midfield midway through the period.
