Lemke, Platts Each Win Twice As Falcons Fall To Miami

Bowling Green, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University women's swim and dive team fell to Miami, 200-100. Talisa Lemke swept the diving events, giving her 11 victories on the season. Daisy Platts had a pair of victories, both in the backstroke events. She also added a second place finish in the 200-yard IM. The 200-yard medley relay team of Platts, Taylor Harris, Sarah Hennings, and Anna Eriksson opened the swimming events with a first place finish, touching the wall at 1:45.74. Sophomores Anna Eriksson, Kellie House, and Kylie Mosset all had a pair of top four finishes for BGSU, who falls to 3-1 overall and 1-1 in conference competition.

"We saw a lot of things we need to work on a little bit, but our effort was still good. Miami is a very good team, it was nice to see another MAC opponent and give ourselves a reference point. Our goal the next few weeks is to train as hard as we can and be ready for the conference championship."
Up Next
The Falcons will be on the road for a MAC dual next Friday (Jan. 24). They will make the trip to Ypsilanti for a 1:00 p.m. meet with Eastern Michigan. BGSU will conclude the regular season with a two-day home dual on Friday, Feb. 7 and Saturday, Feb. 8. The Battle of I-75 will start at 5:00 p.m. on Friday and continue at noon on Saturday.
