BGSU Men’s Golf Inks Connor Gdovin & Darin Hudak To National Letters Of Intent

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University men's golf team and head coach John Powers have signed two future student-athletes to National Letters of Intent. Connor Gdovin and Darin Hudak will join the program as freshmen for the 2021-22 season.
"Our program continues to make great strides with this recruiting class," said Coach Powers. "Connor and Darin will push each other and their teammates to be better every day. They are exactly the kind of competitors we are looking for and will be great ambassadors for the golf team and BGSU."
Connor Gdovin | Highland Heights, Ohio | Mayfield High School
BIO: Ranked as the No. 2 (Golfweek) / No. 6 (Junior Golf Scoreboard) player in the state of Ohio for the class of 2021 … Earned Golfweek Junior Tour Player of the Year honors after winning the Tour Championship with a score of 7-under par (68-69-36) … Also claimed a victory in the Golfweek Junior Tour event at Elk's Run with scores of 66-73 … Posted a 10th-place finish in the AJGA Randy Wise Junior Open with scores of 72-75-68 … Finished in 12th place at the AJGA Dana Inc Junior Open with scores of 72-71-71 … Won his conference championship during the high school season with a 67 … Four-time All-Conference and two-time conference champion … Plans to major in Information Systems in the College of Business at BGSU.

Darin Hudak | Tallmadge, Ohio | Tallmadge High School
BIO: Ranked No. 11 in the state of Ohio's 2021 class … Recently finished 14th in the OHSAA Division I State Championship … Earned a spot with a medalist score of 71 in the sectional tournament and 73 in the district finals … Concluded his senior season with a 72.6 stroke average, recording five tournament wins in total … Named Suburban League Player of the Year as a senior … Recorded three top-10 finishes this summer in the Golfweek Junior Tour, highlighted by a runner-up finish at Purdue University with scores of 73-72 … Plans to major in Business Analytics and Intelligence at BGSU.
