Falcons Picked To Win MAC In League’s Preseason Poll; Turner & Plowden Earn All-MAC Honors

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference men's basketball preseason poll was released on Thursday (Nov. 19) morning. For the second-consecutive year, the Bowling Green State University men's basketball team was picked to win the league. The 2020-21 Falcons were also selected as the favorites to win the 2021 MAC Tournament.
Additionally, fifth-year senior Justin Turner earned a spot on the preseason First Team All-MAC squad. Fellow senior Daeqwon Plowden was placed on the five-man Second Team All-MAC unit.
The Falcons received eight of the 12 first-place votes to win the regular season, and a league-leading four votes to win the MAC Tournament. Ohio, Akron, Buffalo and Ball State round out the predicted top-five finish during the regular season.
Bowling Green is scheduled to begin year No. 6 of the Michael Huger Era on Wednesday, Nov. 25. The Falcons will travel to Ann Arbor to face the nationally-ranked Wolverines in Crisler Center.
