Battle Of I-75 Takes To The Pool This Weekend

Bowling Green, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University swimming and diving team will close the regular season schedule with a two-day dual that will serve as this year's edition of the Battle of I-75. Friday's meet, which will be an orange-out and International Night, begins at 5:00 p.m. The BGSU-UT battle will continue Saturday at 12:00 p.m., where seniors Meghan Burnard, Sarah Fergus, Talisa Lemke, and Michaela Ruddock will be recognized. The Falcons are currently 3-2 overall with a 1-2 mark in the MAC. The Rockets are 5-5 overall and 0-3 in the MAC.

Historic Performances
- Of the program's current top ten times in each event, 14 have been accomplished this season. Sophomore Daisy Platts is responsible for 11 of those times, including her record-breaking time of 1:59.64 in the 200-yard IM.
- The other three historic times belong to Sarah Hennings and Anna Eriksson. Hennings owns two of the top times in the 100-yard butterfly, with Eriksson owning one in the same event.
- Talisa Lemke broke school records in the 1 meter and 3 meter dive at the Cleveland State University Magnus Cup. Her score of 330.35 on the 1 meter board and 373.50 on the 3 meter board broke the school records that she previously held.
Rolling Along In Relays
- The Falcon Relay teams have seen success this year, especially on the trip to Florida International University. Each team that competed finished in fifth place or better, with the trio of Daisy Platts, Lauren Sullivan, and Sarah Fergus winning the 300-yard backstroke.
- The quartet of Daisy Platts, Taylor Harris, Sarah Hennings, and Anna Eriksson have won five medley relay events, including two events at the Magnus Cup at Cleveland State University.
Big Success At Big Events
- BGSU has been near the top of the leaderboard as a team in two invitationals. At the Magnus Cup, the Falcons placed fourth among 13 teams. They finished as the runner-up at the FIU Relay Invite, competing against seven other teams.
