Bowling Green Kicks Off Competition in Florida at NIC

OCALA, Fla. – The magnificent seven Falcon swimmers kicked off their season finale at the CSCAA National Invitational Championship.
Swimming inside the three-year-old Florida Aquatics Swimming & Training (FAST) facility, the 400 medley relay squad of Emily McNicol, Ava Vial, Grace Bodrock and Samia Becdach earned the highest placement for the Falcons as they took fourth with a mark of 3:45.81.
McNicol was the top finisher in the individual events, as the junior placed 24th in the 50 backstroke prelims (25.89).
Karina Solera (25.70) and Riley McNichols (25.76) each competed in the 50 butterfly, while Vial (2:07.91) and Grace Perlberg (29.87) swam the 200 IM and 50 breaststroke, respectively.
In their only event of the evening finals, the Falcons' 200 freestyle relay quartet of Becdach, Bodrock, McNicol and McNichols placed 27th with a mark of 1:34.65.

The Falcons will start the second day of competition on Friday with prelims at 9:30 a.m. McNicol, Perlberg, McNichols and Becdach will swim the 200 medley relay while Vial (400 IM) and McNicol (100 backstroke) will compete in the individual events.
