Heritage Hall Grand Opening To Highlight Quadrupleheader Saturday

Bowling Green, Ohio – Saturday will be an action-packed day of collegiate athletics on the campus of Bowling Green State University. From swim/dive Senior Day to women's basketball Female Superhero Day to men's basketball's Bill Frack Game to an ice hockey Teddy Bear Toss, BGSU Athletics will celebrate during a full day of competition. As well, BGSU will hold the grand opening of the NEW Schmidthorst Heritage Hall, featuring the Cochrane Cunningham Archives, at the Stroh Center beginning at 11:00 am.
Schmidthorst Heritage Hall is located on the east side of the Stroh Center (in the same location as the old Hall of Fame) and all fans are encouraged to attend by entering through the North doors of the Stroh Center beginning at 11:00 am. The program begins at 11:30 am, which will include a ribbon-cutting. Fans can peruse and learn more about the history of BGSU Athletics at the new Schmidthorst Heritage Hall.
Following the Heritage Hall celebration, the BGSU swim/dive team will hold Senior Day at Cooper Pool beginning at noon against rival Toledo for the Battle of I-75. Women's Basketball hosts Northern Illinois in the Stroh Center at 1:00 pm and men's basketball follows against rival Toledo at 4:30 pm. Finally, the day concludes as the BGSU hockey team hosts Alaska Anchorage at 7:07 pm in the Slater Family Ice Arena.

All fans are encouraged to attend the grand opening of the brand new Schmidthorst Heritage Hall, featuring the Cochrane Cunningham Archives, by entering the Stroh Center through the north entrance. A presentation will take place at 11:30 am with comments from President Rodney Rogers and Athletics Director Bob Moosbrugger. Fans will have the opportunity to explore the rich history of BGSU Athletics at the Schmidthorst Heritage Hall and find out what makes Bowling Green State University special.
SWIM/DIVE HOSTS TOLEDO, 12:00 PM
SENIOR DAY
The BGSU swim/dive team will recognize seniors Meghan Burnard, Sarah Fergus, Talisa Lemke and Michaela Ruddock for their accomplishments during their collegiate careers. Admission to Cooper Pool is FREE as the Falcons look to defeat rival Toledo for the seventh consecutive year. The BGSU Athletics Department is 5-1 against Toledo in head-to-head competition during the 2019-20 school year.

Capes will be handed out to the first 200 children in attendance for Female Superhero Day Saturday as the BGSU women's basketball team hosts Northern Illinois. The game also serves as Senior Day for the Cheer and Dance squads and Future Falcon Kids Club Day. Snoopy will also be in attendance as part of the University's partnership with Cedar Fair and Peanuts Worldwide. NOTE – Following the conclusion of the women's basketball game, the Stroh Center will be cleared out. Fans must have a ticket for the men's game to attend at 4:30 pm.

The Battle of I-75 returns to the Stroh Center as BGSU men's basketball goes for a regular season sweep of Toledo. The Falcons defeated the Rockets on the road less than two weeks ago and enter the contest in sole possession of first place in the Mid-American Conference standings. Serving as the annual Bill Frack Game, this contest is likely to be "standing room only". BGSU students will get free pizza and 200 "Orange Out" t-shirts will be handed out. Students will also be able to attain one of 250 gift cards to Buffalo Wild Wings and 150 Game Day posters will be distributed. The game is a Greek Night contest, sponsored by Qdoba, and Ten40 will perform the National Anthem. NOTE – A ticket to the women's basketball game at 1:00 pm will NOT gain admittance into Saturday's men's basketball game.

BGSU Hockey hosts Alaska Anchorage in the quadrupleheader night cap in a pivotal Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) contest. The night is tabbed as Youth Hockey Night and Future Falcon Kids Club Night. Fans are invited to bring new teddy bears for the annual Teddy Bear Toss. After Bowling Green's first goal, toss those Teddy Bears onto the ice! All teddy bears will be donated to BGSU Dance Marathon in conjunction with the Miracle Families.
