Select Ice Arena Programs Postponed/Canceled Beginning Saturday, March 14
March 13, 2020 | Ice Hockey
After careful consideration and recommendations by public health officials, we have determined that it is in the best interest of our skating community and the public to cancel and postpone our scheduled programs. These include Learn to Skate, senior league, figure skating programs, and youth hockey programming beginning tomorrow, Saturday, March 14.Â
Â
We will remain open for private ice rentals, public skate, drop-in sessions (figure skating and hockey), birthday parties and scheduled meetings. There will be limited admittance to public events such as public skate and drop-in sessions in accordance with the 100-person restriction on public gatherings. While we are saddened to disappoint our skating community, we want to ensure that we are acting proactively and responsibly to help curb the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
Â
This is an unprecedented situation and we ask for your patience as we work through the financial implications. We will issue a credit to accounts for remaining programming fees missed due to the COVID-19 cancellations. That credit may be used for any future programming and can be viewed on your personal ice arena account. If you prefer to have your money refunded, please email Jamie Baringer for ice rentals at jbaring@bgsu.edu, Laura Fischer for figure skating and Learn to Skate at dunnle@bgsu.edu, or Joe Bernyk for hockey programming at jbernyk@bgsu.edu by Friday, March 20, 2020.Â
Â
Please know that we are deeply committed to taking care of our skating community and we will continue to keep you updated as the situation evolves. If you have questions regarding your account or the credit process, we ask that you email the individual above, rather than calling. That will help us maintain our records and allow us to process requests more efficiently.
