BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University men's basketball team was defeated by the University at Buffalo, 88-84, Friday (March 6) night inside the Stroh Center. The Mid-American Conference regular-season finale was played in front of 3,550 fans.
Bowling Green finishes the regular season with an overall record of 21-10. The Falcons went 12-6 in MAC play, and will be the No. 2 seed in next week's MAC Tournament. BGSU will play its quarterfinal game at 6:30 p.m. at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland.
Buffalo shot 54.4 percent (37-of-68) as a team. The Bulls held a seven-point lead at the half, and survived a back-and-forth second half. The Falcons were led by redshirt-junior guard Justin Turner's 23 points. Senior guard Dylan Frye added 20 points.
MAC TOURNAMENT TICKETS
Season ticket holders across all sports are able to purchase tickets for the quarterfinal game in Cleveland on March 12 by calling the BGSU Athletic Ticket Office at 419-372-0000. In addition, season ticket holders currently have priority access to request tickets for Friday (March 13) and Saturday (March 14) at the MAC Tournament. Should the Falcons advance to the NCAA Tournament, season ticket holders would have priority access to request those tickets, as well. For more information, all season ticket holders were emailed on Monday (Feb. 24) with more details on requesting post-season tickets for the men's basketball team.
