Making Of The Match
- The day began for the Falcons with a sweep in doubles. Playing No. 1 doubles, the Falcon duo of Tavpash and Bettinelli ran together six straight points for the sweep.
- Sasaki and Silveira followed suit at No. 3 doubles, surrendering just one point before in a 6-1 set win to clinch the doubles point for the Falcons and give the Orange and Brown the early 1-0 advantage.
- The run continued into No. 2 doubles with Bowling Green finishing off the clean sweep in doubles play, seeing Kapitanova and Tsadari take the set 6-3, holding off a late surge by Indiana Tech.
- Singles kicked off similarly to doubles with Sasaki and Tavpash finishing within minutes of each other, both clinching 6-0, 6-0 sweeps. In doubles and singles combined, Sasaki was 18-1 on the day while Tavpash was an undefeated 18-0.
- Another pair of Falcons finished almost simultaneously with Bettinelli and Kapitanova pushing the Bowling Green advantage to 5-0 and securing the win for the day. Bettinelli won 6-1, 6-0 to take the No. 5 singles point while Kapitanova did the flip of that, 6-0, 6-1 for the No. 3 singles point.
- At No. 6 singles, Silveira overcame an early deficit in the first set to string together multiple points for a 6-2 victory after beginning down 2-1. That momentum carried into her second set, leading the duration of the set en route to a 6-3 win to claim the point for Bowling Green.
- The day concluded with another win for BGSU, this one coming at No. 2 singles by Tsadari. Jumping out to at least 3-0 leads in both sets, Tsadari set herself up for success in the match, that turned into 6-4 and 6-1 wins for the Falcons.
