Falcons Complete Weekend Sweep Of Buffalo

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green Falcons volleyball team (8-6, 4-0) swept Buffalo (9-7, 2-2) for the second consecutive night, giving the Falcons their fifth consecutive victory. BGSU is now 4-0 in conference play, the best record in the East Division.

How It Happened
Set 1: BGSU 25, Buffalo 20
After trailing 3-1 to open the set, the Falcons scored seven of the next eight points to force a Buffalo timeout. The teams traded points, with the Bulls remaining within five throughout the set. An ace from Katie Kidwell made it 22-17 in favor of the Orange and Brown, leading to another Bulls timeout. A few points later, Petra Indrova and Madelynn Luebcke combined on a block to give the Falcons a 1-0 set lead.

Set 2: BGSU 25, Buffalo 18
The Falcons never trailed in the second set, with a 4-0 run sparking them to a 15-7 lead at the media timeout. Petra Indrova registered five kills in the set, all before the media break. Buffalo made a run after the pause, outscoring the Falcons 7-3. BGSU took a timeout, then responded with a 5-1 run to extend their lead. Kat Mandly's kill and Julia Walz's ace clinched the second set for the Falcons.

Set 3: BGSU 25, Buffalo 18
In another set that did not stop until the media timeout, the Falcons took a commanding lead early. A pair of 3-0 runs and a 4-0 run gave the Orange and Brown a 15-6 advantage at the media break. During this stretch, Petra Indorva registered three kills and a block assist, while Katelyn Meyer landed three kills. Katrin Trebichavska's kill expanded their lead to 22-12, but Buffalo answered with a 4-0 run. Bowling Green took advantage of a Buffalo attack error, then won the set and match on Katelyn Meyer's kill.
