October 21, 2021 | Women's Swimming & Diving
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University swimming and diving team will open their season this weekend against Miami University. The meet will be held on October 23, starting at 1 pm at Cooper Pool.
Looking Back at Last Year
The Falcons are coming off of a 1-3 season and eighth place finish in the MAC in a Covid-19-shortened 2020-21 season. This is the first time the RedHawks and Falcons have squared off since January 18, 2020, where the RedHawks claimed a 200-100 victory.Â
Returning Falcons to Watch
The Falcons are returning some of their strongest swimmers and divers from last season. Senior Daisy Platts, three-time MAC Champion in the 200 meter backstroke and three-time All-MAC swimmer, is looking to defend her reign over the conference. Senior Kellie House will also return after winning MAC "B" finalist status in two events at last season's MAC Championships. Finally, sophomore diver Zoe Smith is looking to build off of her strong freshman season, where she won two events and added two second place finishes and three third place finishes.
