Falcons Head South to Oxford for MACtion on Tuesday Night at Miami

Falcons Continue MACtion at Miami
• Bowling Green State University returns to the road for the final time in 2021 on Tuesday night to face the Miami (OH) RedHawks in MACtion.
• It is the 75th meeting between the Falcons and the RedHawks in a series that started in 1941.
• The game will be broadcast LIVE on ESPNU with an 8 p.m. kick.
Bowling Green vs. Miami (OH)
• Bowling Green continues Mid-American Conference action on Tuesday when the Falcons head to Oxford to take on the RedHawks.
• Miami (OH) leads the all-time series with the BGSU, 45-24-5.
• Since 2000, Bowling Green is 4-1 against MU when the Falcons hold the RedHawks below 300 yards of total offense.
• Since 2000, Bowling Green is 3-2 against MU when the Falcons accumulate 400+ yards of total offense.

• OG Sam Neverov and RB Trevon Raymore also played. Neverov retired earlier this season due to injuries and is a student assistant. Raymore suffered a season-ending injury before the 2021 season began.
Bowling Green - MU connections
• Miami co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Spence Nowinsky was the defensive coordinator at Illinois State in 2016 and 2017 when BGSU's Devin Taylor was a freshman and redshirt freshman.
• MU running back coach Lamar Conard was the running back coach and recruiting coordinator at Illinois State during Taylor's first two years with the FCS program.

Ferguson is out for the Year
• Bowling Green head coach Scot Loeffler announced on Nov. 5 that CB Davon Ferguson was out for the rest of the year.
• Despite only playing 7.5 games, he is one of two players in the nation with 45+ solo tackles (45), 4+ passes defended (4), 2.0+ sacks (2.0) and 8.0+ tackles for loss (8.). Utah's Devin Lloyd is the other.
• Ferguson suffered an injury early in the EMU game. Through the first seven full games Ferguson was playing, BGSU yielded only 147.4 yards per game through the air. Since Ferguson went down the Falcons are yielding 290.7 yards per game through the air.
McDonald Elevating Game
• Since throwing three interceptions in the Eastern Michigan game, QB Matt McDonald has thrown for 786 yards, six touchdowns and only one interception over the past four games.
Rushing Game on the Rise
• After a slow start this season in the rushing game, BGSU has now rushed for 100+ yards in five-straight games.
• BGSU has rushed for 100+ yards in 22-of-27 games under head coach Scot Loeffler. Four of those games where the Falcons failed to reach 100 rushing yards came in the first five weeks of the 2021 season.
Anders Racking Up Tackles for Loss Games
• ILB Darren Anders has 8.5 tackles for loss through 10 games.
• Anders is tied for No. 3 in the nation in games with at least 1.0 TFL.
