COACH'S QUOTE
"That was fun! My heart is still racing, it was a fun game to be a part of. It was just a really good game for our guys. Chandler Turner had a great game for us. He was able to step up and attack their zone. Going into it, I was definitely worried about the zone, as you see why, but we were able to stick with them the whole game. We didn't relinquish anything. We fought and we came out with the victory. Very proud of our guys, just the way we played."

HOW IT HAPPENED
- It was a slow start offensively for both teams with the first bucket coming more than two and a half minutes into the game with a Joe Reece second-chance layup to get BG on the board first.
- From there, it was a 7-0 run for Oakland to take a 7-2 lead into the first media timeout of the game. The run would extend to 11-0 for the Golden Grizzlies.
- The Falcons quickly answered with a 10-0 run of their own to take a 15-14 lead, capped by a Josiah Fulcher transition three off a turnover.
- Another 7-0 run soon followed for the Orange and Brown, combining for a 17-3 run in favor of Bowling Green. Chandler Turner contributed five straight points during the second burst of scoring for the Falcons.
- The back-and-forth runs continued with Oakland going on a 10-0 run to take a 31-26 lead before two free throws from Daeqwon Plowden interrupted the scoring for the Golden Grizzlies.
- The two teams traded buckets the rest of the way to halftime, seeing Oakland take a 41-38 lead to the break.
- The second half started the way the first half ended with the two teams trading buckets until a 7-0 run gave Oakland a slim 55-53 lead.
- From that point on the contest remained close with neither team gaining a lead larger than five.
- With just under a minute left Isaac Elsasser pulled down a defensive rebound that turned into a Chandler Turner three at the other end, giving BGSU a 73-70 lead.
- Oakland answered with two made free throws to draw the score to 73-72 BGSU.
- With less than two seconds remaining the Golden Grizzlies attempted to inbound, but Daeqwon Plowden knocked the ball out of bounds, leaving 0.9 seconds left on the clock.
- On the second inbound attempt, Oakland missed a layup as time expired, seeing the Falcons capture the 73-72 victory.
