NOTE OF THE NIGHT
• Kennedy White, in just her second season with the Falcons, now has 13 goals. Her goal on Thursday night was her third in four matches this year.

QUOTING COACH WALKER
"I thought we played really well tonight, particularly in the first half. That was as sharp as I've seen us all season. We created some really good chances, moved the ball very well and just looked good overall. It was pleasing to get back to winning ways, and the performance was a good one tonight."
"(Kennedy White's) goal was a very good, well-worked goal. We keep telling the players, 'in order to score goals, everything's got to click at the right moment,' and that's what happened. We got great passing in the midfield, a great ball in and a great finish. We created a number of chances tonight, and I'd love to see us finish a few more of those chances."
GOALS / KEY MOMENTS
• The Falcons were on the attack almost from the opening kickoff. BGSU had 10 shots within the first 20 minutes, including a goal less than 10 minutes in.
• 3' | With under three minutes gone, a right-side cross was played back across, into the path of the onrushing Katie Cox. Cox fired a laser from the top of the 18. MU's Izzie Vaccari got a hand on it, and was able to redirect the shot off of the crossbar. Madi Wolfbauer got her foot on the rebound, but Vaccari was able to smother it.
• 4' | Wolfbauer hit a hard shot off of a cross from the left side, but the ball sailed high.
• 5' | Less than a minute later, Wolfbauer laid the ball into the path of Nikki Cox, and Cox's shot rolled just wide of the left post.
• 9' | A Jasmijn Dijsselhof cross caromed to Wolfbauer, who hit yet another dangerous shot, but this effort was blocked by a defender.
• 10' | GOAL | Ruby Linton put a perfectly-place diagonal ball into the six-yard box from the left side. The ball sailed just out of reach of Wolfbauer and a defender, and it found the boot of Kennedy White at the far post. White redirected it into the net to give the Falcons a lead they would not relinquish.
• 20' | Another Linton cross found Nikki Cox, who settled the ball and quickly fired. But, BG's 10th shot of the evening was just off the mark.
• 22' | Miami's first shot of the night came on a Camber Hayes free kick. Hayes played a ball into the box, and it bounced on the wet grass and scotted toward goal. But, Lili Berg was there to grab it.
• 26' | Linton was fouled just outside the box, and Nikki Cox fired the ensuing free kick on frame, but Vaccari made the stop.
• 30' | White hit a shot from the right side that was blocked out for a corner kick. BGSU played back-to-back corners before the RedHawks were able to clear.
• 43' | Lacee Bethea won a corner, and Maya Dean took that kick. The ball went toward Madison Alberty, who played it to Nikki Cox. Cox's hard turnaround shot was saved.
• 46' | With less than 30 seconds gone after halftime, a foul on the Falcons gave Miami a free kick in the BG end. But, as that free kick was sent into the box from the left side, a foul was called on the RedHawks in the goalmouth.
• 52' | Wolfbauer took a pass from Nikki Cox, then laid it off to Katie Cox to wrap up a string of three or four quick passes near the top of the 18. Katie Cox's shot was just wide. Less than a minute later, Nikki Cox stole the ball and hit a shot from distance, forcing the Miami 'keeper into a diving save at the left post.
• 57' | GOAL | After a BG corner, a foul was called on the RedHawks in the box, and a penalty kick was awarded. Wolfbauer made no mistake, putting her shot into the perfect spot to double the Falcons' lead.
• 68' | Makenzie Ortman's long shot was parried by Vaccari at the right post, and the MU goalkeeper was then able to grab the ball out of the air.
• 77' | Bethea took a pass, cut back to her left and hit a shot that then took a deflection. But, the carom went straight to Vaccari.
• 79' | Vaccari was able to stop White on a breakaway attempt, and the RedHawks cleared the ball out of the box.
• 82' | Nikki Cox put a pass onto the boot of White on the right side of the 18-yard box. White's ensuing shot beat Vaccari, but slid just past the far post.
