Falcons Named a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team for Spring 2021

BGSU has fifth-highest GPA in the nation in the spring semester
The Bowling Green State University swimming & diving team has been named a Scholar All-America Team for the Spring 2021 semester. The announcement was made by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).
The Falcons of head coach Rickey Perkins had the fifth-highest grade-point average of all NCAA Division-I women's programs across the nation, with a team GPA of 3.80 in the Spring 2021 semester. BGSU trailed only Harvard (3.90), Drexel (3.86), Massachusetts (3.84) and American (3.82) on that list. Denver also had a 3.80 cumulative GPA in the spring.
In all, the Scholar All-America Team selections included 721 teams from 424 institutions. Selections were made on the basis of their Spring grade-point averages and represent 17,982 student-athletes.
Founded in 1922, the CSCAA is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
