BGSU Men’s Golf Announces 2021-22 Schedule

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University men's golf team and head coach John Powers have announced the program's competition schedule for the upcoming 2021-22 season. The Falcons will play in 11 tournaments, including the 2022 MAC Championships, which are slated for April 29 – May 1 in Naperville, Illinois.
"I'm very proud to announce a schedule full of first-class tournaments that will take us to many parts of the country," commented Coach Powers. "We will play against some of the best competition in the country at outstanding venues each time out. Our team is very fortunate to travel the way we do, and we have an opportunity to achieve great success this season."
In total, the Falcons will play in nine different states and will also take a trip to the Bahamas for the Bahamas Invitational to conclude the fall season over Oct. 29-31. A few weeks prior, BGSU will head to the Tom Tontimonia Invitational (Oct. 4-5) – an event the Falcons won in 2019 by carding a team score of 837. The 837 is the program's third best team score for a 54-hole event in school history.
Bowling Green begins its spring season Feb. 14-15 at the Border Olympics in Laredo, Texas. The tournament is one of many familiar events throughout the spring slate, including the Missouri Tiger Invitational (April 12-12) and Rutherford Intercollegiate (April 16-17), which will lead into the MAC Championships (April 29 – May 1). The conference championships this season will be hosted by Northern Illinois at the White Eagle Golf Club in Naperville, Illinois.
