BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Single game tickets are now on sale for both the men's and women's basketball teams at Bowling Green State University. Fans can follow the links on this page to purchase tickets for single games for both Falcon basketball teams. Single-game pricing will remain the same as the 2021-22 seasons.
A total of 10 student-athletes, including four starters, will return to the women's team from the 2021-22 squad. They are joined by five newcomers, including a pair of transfers. Two of the returnees, Lexi Fleming and Kadie Hempfling, recently were named to the Preseason All-Mid-American Conference Team.
The 2021-22 Falcons, despite losing nearly 75 player-games to injury, won 17 games and advanced to national postseason play for the second-straight season. BGSU went 17-16 overall and 10-10 in MAC play, and the Falcons were selected to participate in the Women's Basketball Invitational (WBI). BG went 2-1 in that tourney, finishing the '21-22 season with a victory.
The men's program will enter the 2022-23 season with a new look roster, consisting of seven newcomers and eight returners. Five seniors will return for the Falcons with Samari Curtis, Isaac Elsasser, Brenton Mills, Gabe O'Neal and Chandler Turner. Sophomores Kaden Metheny and Jackson Watson along with redshirt freshman Ubongabasi Etim will round out the returners for the Orange and Brown.
As for the newcomers, the Falcons will welcome three freshmen and four transfers to the fold this season. Senior guard Leon Ayers III joins the Falcons from Duquesne while senior forward Madani Diarra arrives from Indian Hills CC. The junior class will welcome two forwards with Sam Towns coming from Ohio and Rashaun Agee joining from Casper College. As for the freshman class, Jamai Felt will be the lone forward and will be joined by guards Willie Lightfoot and Anthony McComb III.
