Ty's Take
"They had their opportunities. We had a couple ourselves. One of their goals in the third was off the rush and we got beat back to our net. Good teams do that to you and you have to be ready."

Scoring Plays
- With just over five minutes left in the opening frame, Ohio State capitalized on a power play chance. After a shot from the point was saved, the Buckeyes collected the puck and moved it to Stephen Halliday at the blue line. He sent a diagonal pass to Cole McWard, who then pushed it from the circle to the blue line, finding Cam Theising. His long-range shot snuck through traffic and hit twine for the game's first goal.
- Halfway through the second, the Falcons tied it with a goal from Alex Barber. Ben Wozney chipped the puck out of the OSU offensive zone to Alex Barber, who knocked it along the boards into the BGSU offensive zone. Ryan O'Hara obtained it and made a spinning pass to Barber, who found a seam between the circles. His wrist shot beat Jakub Dobes glove side to tie the game at 1-1.
- Less than five minutes into the third, Ohio State started the scoring with their second power play goal. A shot from the blue line was saved, but the rebound trickled out of a pile of skaters and onto the stick of Tyler Duke. He passed it up to Scooter Brickey, who fed it over to Tyler Duke. He attacked into the right circle, then passed it back up to Brickey, who fired in a one-timer for the goal.
- A few minutes later, Taylor Schneider evened the score with a power play goal of his own. The Falcons worked the puck around the zone, eventually finding Alex Barber below the goal line. He passed it back to the top of the zone, hitting Dalton Norris. The freshman fed it to Schneider at the right circle, who connected on the one-timer for the game-tying goal.
- After the midpoint of the third, Ohio State regained the lead. A shot from Jake Wise was blocked, but Mason Lohrei collected it above the crease. He passed it up to a crashing Cam Theising, who went top shelf for his second goal of the night.
- Less than 30 seconds later, Joe Dunlap scored to extend the lead. Dalton Messina deflected a BGSU pass, then Dunlap collected the puck in the neutral zone and skated between the circles. He went forehand to backhand as he evaded a defender, sliding the puck through the right of the crease for the score.
- 25 seconds later, the Buckeyes tallied another goal. Brickey passed the puck to Halliday, then skated down the right side and received a pass from Halliday. He fed the puck through the defense to a crashing Burnside, who went five-hole for the game's final tally.
