Karg, Fuentes Earn Singles Wins In Home Opener

PERRYSBURG, Ohio – The Bowling Green Falcons played their first home match of the 2021-22 season on Saturday (Feb. 5), falling to the Indianapolis Greyhounds, 5-2. Selina Karg and Florencia Fuentes each picked up a singles win for the Orange and Brown, their first of the spring season. Karg's singles record this season improves to 5-4, with a career mark of 23-5. Fuentes is now 5-5 on the season when playing singles.

Doubles duo Annika Vetter and Ines Iglesias secured a doubles win for Bowling Green, the pairing's first of the spring season. Vetter is 7-4 when playing in doubles this season, with a total competition record of 14-10.

"Losing the doubles point definitely set the tone for the rest of the match today. We fought hard and got a couple of singles courts but started playing too late to come back and be able to win the match."
