BGSU Bound For Saturday, Sunday, Monday Series Against Ball State

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Bowling Green State University baseball program will embark on the second conference series of the season, traveling to face Ball State for a four-game series, set to be played Saturday through Monday. Due to the weather forecast, the series was moved to have one game on Saturday (March 19), a doubleheader on Sunday (March 20) and the final game of the series on Monday (March 20). Saturday is set for a 12:30 p.m. first pitch while Sunday and Monday will have play begin at noon.
The Falcons are coming off their first MAC series of the season after facing Miami (OH) last weekend. The series marked the fourth of the year for BGSU. The Orange and Brown will enter the series against Ball State with a record of 2-11 on the year.

Scouting The Cardinals
Ball State is coming off a series win over Eastern Michigan that began play within the Mid-American Conference. The Cardinals and Eagles played doubleheaders on both Sunday and Monday, winning three of the four games. Ball State also took three of four from Florida A&M the weekend before, making them 8-8 on the season going into the series against Bowling Green.
Against Ball State All-Time
The Falcons and Cardinals all-time record is separated by just one game with the Cardinals leading with a record of 64-63-2. If Bowling Green can win the weekend series, they would take over the all-time series, which began in 1947. The last meeting between the two teams came in Bowling Green last year, seeing the Falcons capture an 8-5 win in the series finale.
Last Time Out
The last time out the Falcons played a four-game series against Miami (OH) to begin the MAC portion of the season's schedule. Gage Schenk and Andrew Abrahamowicz both produced strong starts on the mound for the Falcons to bookend the series. Schenk gave up just two runs over five innings while Abrahamowicz struck out six over five innings of work. Offensively, Jack Krause led the way for BGSU, going 4-for-12 including a leadoff home run to begin the third game of the series.
