BGSU Men's Hoops To Play Charity Exhibition At West Virginia Oct. 28

MORGANTOWN, W. Va. - The Bowling Green State University men's basketball program has announced that the Falcons will play in a charity exhibition against West Virginia University to begin the 2022-23 season. The game will take place in Morgantown, West Virginia inside of WVU Coliseum on Oct. 28, 2022 and is set for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off. Proceeds from the exhibition will go to the Norma Mae Huggins Cancer Research Endowment Fund.

The NCAA approved that an institution may use one of its possible two exhibition games against a Division I institution for the purposes of raising funds for a non-profit organization of the school's choice. The two teams will play a regulation 40-minute game. The full release by West Virginia can be found here.

The Falcons and Mountaineers last faced during the 1999-2000 season. The two were originally scheduled to play during the 2020-21 season, but changes to the schedule due to COVID removed the contest. Tickets for the exhibition will go on-sale at a later date. The exhibition against West Virginia will be the first of two for the Falcons to begin the season.
