White Named to Top Drawer Soccer National Team of Week
September 27, 2022 | Women's Soccer
Bowling Green State University women's soccer standout Kennedy White has been named to the Top Drawer Soccer National Team of the Week, it was announced on Tuesday (Sept. 27).
White, a native of Canton, Mich. (Plymouth), scored three of her team's four goals last week. White recorded the Falcons' first goal of the night on Thursday (Sept. 22), scoring just past the hour mark to tie the match with Toledo at Cochrane Stadium. Then, on Sunday (Sept. 25), White scored both BGSU goals in a 2-2 draw at Western Michigan.
White now has team-leading totals of six goals and 12 points this season. Her two-goal game on Sunday was the second of her career, and the second in the last four matches. White has now played three career contests against WMU – all on the road – and has four goals in those three matches.
With her three goals last week, White moved up five spots on the BGSU career list. She now has 21 goals, tying her for sixth in school history. White has 49 career points as a Falcon, tying her for 12th on that BG career chart.
The Falcons, now 2-3-3 on the season, head back to Michigan for a Thursday (Sept. 29) matchup with Central Michigan. Then, the Brown and Orange will return home to face Ball State on Sunday (Oct. 2). The CMU match begins at 7:00 p.m. at the CMU Soccer/Lacrosse Complex, while the BSU contest commences at 1:00 p.m. at Cochrane Stadium.
