BGSU-Akron Men's Basketball Game Selected For CBS Sports Network On Jan. 5

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference in partnership with CBS and ESPN announced on Wednesday morning (Oct. 18) the slate of men's basketball pre-selections for the 2023-24 season. As part of the announcement, the game between Bowling Green and Akron, hosted by the Zips, will be broadcasted on CBS Sports Network. Previously scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 6, the game is now set for Friday, Jan. 5 with a 9 p.m. tip.

The game between the Falcons and Zips is currently Bowling Green's only men's basketball game on CBS Sports Network. Eight other selections will be made within a 21-day window of the selected games. The MAC Tournament Men's Semifinals will be carried on CBS Sports Network while the Quarterfinals will be on ESPN+ and the Championship on ESPN2.

The game against Akron will mark the second MAC contest of the season for the Falcons and the first on the road. Bowling Green's MAC campaign will begin on Jan. 2 with a home game against Eastern Michigan. As for the season as a whole, the Orange and Brown will begin the 2023-24 season at home on Nov. 6, hosting Chicago State.
