Fan Guide to Navigate Slater Family Ice Arena During Remainder of BGSU Hockey Season

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Throughout the remainder of the Bowling Green State University home hockey schedule, exterior construction to the Slater Family Ice Arena will affect various entrances into the venue. This change will be effective starting with the November 10th home game against St. Thomas.

The 5.6-million-dollar project will include the creation of a new mezzanine on the south end of the main rink to include private suites, concessions, a club room, additional spectator seating, and the addition of a 1,000-square-foot lobby at the west main entrance. The newly renovated main entrance will highlight achievements, creating opportunities for trophy displays and encourage future growth. The project also includes making necessary upgrades to improve the existing building systems, life safety, accessibility, and daily function, including upgrades to the locker rooms and restroom renovations.

The primary entrance to the Slater Family Ice Arena will be closed, and alternative points of entry will be established along the West and Northwest sides of the arena. Things to Know:

Gameday parking will remain unaffected.
The main entrance drive in front of the Slater Family Ice Arena will be partially closed for the duration of the renovation project.
Entrance C and E will be for pre-purchased tickets.

Fans are strongly encouraged to purchase tickets in advance. A benefit of pre-purchased tickets is a lower priced admission than at the box office day of game.
Entrance D is the Box Office where you will be able to purchase tickets.
Entrance E is intended for ADA entrance and normal Pass Gate operations.
Fans should anticipate waiting in lines outside. As of the home game against St. Thomas on Nov. 10, exterior tents will be in place for the remainder of the season to provide some relief from the weather elements.
Concessions will remain open throughout the season.
Restrooms underneath the arena seating will be offline during the season in phases.
Restrooms on the South end, near the Newlove Pro Shop, will be open all season.
The Newlove Pro Shop will remain open throughout the season.
For daily access (not related to games), please use the Southeast General Use Entrance (B).
Gates will now open at 5:45 p.m. for all 7:07 p.m. games or 1:22 prior to puck drop.
