BGSU's Diverse Professionals Enhancement Internship Applications Are Now Open for 2023-24

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University athletics department is proud to hire two new students for the Diverse Professionals Enhancement Program for the 2023-24 Academic school year. The internship program dedicated to enhance the ethnic minority and gender representation in the field of intercollegiate athletics. It was created to help build a pipeline for future full-time internships and entry-level positions in college athletics.Â
The year-long paid internship is open to two current BGSU students who have an interest in pursuing a career in the field of athletics. No prior work experience is necessary to apply for the positions. The goal of the internships is to develop and educate young students by providing a cross-training experience that would serve as a guide to launching their career. The internship will also come with resume building, networking opportunities, and mock interviews to help prepare them for the industry.Â
Selected applicants will have the opportunity to choose between two tracks.
Student-Athlete Enhancement
Student-Athlete Services - Assist in the academic, community, professional and personal services for BGSU student-athletes.
Development - Assist the Falcon Club with events and hospitality areas in the pursuit of soliciting donations for athletic scholarships, building renovations and more.Â
Game Operations - Assist in planning, setting up for, and managing all game day events in athletic facilities.Â
Fan Enhancement
Marketing - Assist in the promoting of athletics events to increase fan attendance and engage the crowd through promotional themes, games, and giveaways.Â
Strategic Communications - Assist with compiling statistics and information on teams and student-athletes for social media, stories, media guides and more.Â
Ticketing - Assist in creating ticketing strategy, ticket sales, and customer relations.Â
