Mosley and Flores Are Recipients of NACDA's 2023 Mike Cleary Convention Stipend Program

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Bowling Green State University is proud to announce that two members of the athletics marketing department were named recipients of The National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) 2023 Mike Cleary Convention Stipend Program. Assistant Director of Marketing Joshua Mosley and Lead Intern Anna Flores were both chosen for the program.

BGSU athletics marketing has now had three individuals selected for the stipend program in the past two years, after former Assistant Director of Marketing and current Ohio State Assistant Director of Marketing, Sydney Lambert was selected last year. Individuals receiving the stipend will attend the 2023 NACMA Convention in Orlando, Florida June 11-14. The stipend covers the registration of the convention as well as the cost of travel and lodging.

On receiving the stipend, Mosley stated "Getting the stipend means a lot to me and my family. It shows that hard work and perseverance can open doors you never imagined. I am excited about the opportunity to go to Orlando and network with Sport professionals. Being young in the sport industry leads for a lot of room to grow and learn. This experience will be one I take many things from moving forward in my career. "

Flores said "I'm extremely grateful to have been selected for the Mike Cleary stipend. This is such a great opportunity for me to continue to build a network and set myself up for success in the future. I'm looking forward to representing BGSU down in Orlando."

Taylor Jefferson, Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing and Brand Enhancement said, "Both Joshua and Anna are incredible to work with. There's no one more deserving than these two individuals. They both have bright futures and are rising stars in this industry. Congratulations to both of them. I couldn't be prouder."

Mosley is in his first year as the Assistant Director of Marketing here is BGSU. Joshua is the primary contact for men's and women's soccer, hockey, gymnastics and baseball. Mosley is a 2022 graduate of BGSU athletics and is currently in the Masters Program here at BGSU.

Flores, a junior sport management major, has been interning with the athletics marketing team for two years. She has been a Lead Intern since the Spring semester of her sophomore year. Earlier this year, Flores was also named to the 2022-23 NACMA Mentorship Program Pairings. She is also overseeing the marketing for the softball program.

About NACMA Mike Cleary Convention Stipend Program: In 2012, the NACMA stipend program was named after National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) Director Emeritus Mike Cleary for his commitment to the development of young professionals. Cleary served as NACDA's lone Executive Director for its first 46 years, prior to his retirement in June 2011. Cleary served as President of the John McLendon Minority Scholarship Foundation and the Michael J. Cleary Northeastern Ohio Chapter of the National Football Foundation (NFF) until his death in December 2015.
