A few notes & numbers from a record-setting season
SEASON WRAPUP: FALCONS TIE SCHOOL AND MAC RECORDS FOR WINS
• The Bowling Green State University women's basketball team has put the wraps on the 2022-23 season, and by anyone's standards, the season was wildly successful. The Falcons won 31 games to tie both the school and the Mid-American Conference single-season records. BG advanced to the championship game of the MAC Tournament for the second time in three seasons.

• BGSU earned the MAC's automatic bid to the Women's National Invitation Tournament, and the Falcons won a school-record four games in that tournament to advance all the way to the semifinal round. The Falcons downed Liberty, Green Bay, Memphis and Florida before falling to Columbia in the WNIT's Fab 4.
• On the day of the Columbia game – Wednesday, March 29 – BGSU was one of just eight NCAA Division-I women's basketball teams in the nation still playing.

• Bowling Green won a total of 31 games in the 2022-23 season, tying not only the school record, but the Mid-American Conference single-season record.
• The Falcons won four games in the Women's National Invitation Tournament, advancing to the semifinal round of that 64-team tourney for the first time in program history.
• BG's total of 31 wins was tied for fourth in the nation in 2022-23.
• The Falcons went 14-3 at the Stroh Center, and BG also posted a 14-3 record in true road games, setting a new school single-season record for road wins.
• BGSU shattered the team single-season records for points, rebounds, steals, field goals made and attempted and three-point field goals attempted.
• The Falcons finished second in the nation in turnover margin, and BG ranked seventh in the country in turnovers forced and ninth in both assist/turnover ratio and steals per game.
• BGSU was 22nd or better in the country in no fewer than nine NCAA statistical categories.
• Junior Nyla Hampton had 101 steals to break the BG single-season record.
• Senior Elissa Brett scored 557 points, the eighth-highest total in school history.
• BGSU has a record of 49-14 in games in which Lexi Fleming has seen action. That includes a 31-10 mark in all games against MAC opponents.
• Kadie Hempfling and Allison Day each played in a total of 155 games in their respective college careers.
