BGSU Announces Football Themes for 2023

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Bowling Green State University has announced its themes for the 2023 home football schedule, which kicks off on Sat., Sept. 9 against Eastern Illinois.

- White Out – All fans are encouraged to wear white to the game. White Out t-shirts will be given to the first 500 fans.
- Heroes Day – Join us as we honor members of the military, police, fire, EMS, and hospital workers. Free tickets will be given to those members, while discounts are offered to their family members.Â
- Youth Football Day – All local youth football teams and coaches are invited to the home opener for a discounted price.Â
- Homecoming – BGSU welcomes back all alumni to our annual Homecoming game. Join us as we honor the 100th year of the Falcon marching Band.
- Extra Yard for the Teachers – BGSU athletics wish to honor and celebrate teachers throughout the community and those that left Bowling Green to teach. Discount tickets will be available to teachers and graduates of the College of Education.
- Reunion for 2013 Football Team – The 2013 MAC Champion Football Team will return to be honored at the game.
- Senior Day – We will honor senior members of the BGSU football team, cheer and dance team and Falcon Marching Band
- Family Weekend – We welcome the families of our BGSU students to the fun-filled weekend on campus.
- 20 Year Anniversary of College Gameday Game – The Falcons celebrate the 20 Year Anniversary of the ESPN's College Gameday coming to campus. Prior to the game, Lee Corso chose the #23 ranked Falcons over #12 Norther Illinois by donning Frieda's head. Join us as we celebrate one of the most popular games in BGSU football history.
- Band and Cheer Day – Today is the day to honor members of local marching bands and cheer teams around the Bowling Green area. Free tickets are offered to members of band and cheer teams, while discount tickets are offered to their families.
- Scout Day – We invite all scout groups to the game for a discounted price. Scouts will be able to take group pictures on the field following the game.Â
- 419 Night – General admission tickets only $4.19 for people in the 419 area code.
- 3.0 GPA Recognition – We will honor BGSU student-athletes with a 3.0 GPA on the field
- Orange Out – Wear your orange as the Falcons take on the Toledo Rockets in the Battle of I-75
