BGSU To Honor MAC Hall of Famer Mickey Cochrane This September

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -Â Falcon Athletics is pleased to announce a weekend of celebration, September 8-10, to recognize BGSU coaching legend Mickey Cochrane and his induction into the 2023 MAC Hall of Fame on Thurs., June 1 in Cleveland.

The weekend of activities will coincide with the annual Men's Soccer Alumni Weekend, with a tailgate party in Cochrane Stadium for Men's Soccer and Men's Lacrosse alumni at the Fri., Sept 8 BGSU men's soccer match vs. DePaul. An alumni golf outing will take place on Saturday morning (Sept. 9), followed by a pregame tailgate and halftime recognition of Mickey during the Football home opener on Saturday, the ninth. Kickoff for the football game against Eastern Illinois is scheduled for 2 p.m.

At 6 p.m., or immediately after the football game, an evening reception will be held inside the Stroh Center in Schmidthorst Heritage Hall, featuring a schedule of speakers. More details and registration options for this special weekend to honor a Falcon coaching legend will be made public on or before June 15th.

The weekend concludes at Cochrane Stadium at 1 pm on Sun., Sept. 10, with BGSUÂ women's soccer hosting Notre Dame, the No. 1 seed in the 2022 NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament, which concluded its season in the national quarterfinals last fall.
