Marcus Hill Earns Second MAC Player Of The Week Recognition

Hill Becomes Second Consecutive BGSU Recipient Following Rashaun Agee Last Week
CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced the men's basketball MAC Co-Players of the Week Monday afternoon (Jan. 22). This week's recipients were Bowling Green's Marcus Hill, a junior guard from Rockford, Ill. and Akron's Enrique Freeman. This marks the second time this season that Hill has received the recognition and the third time for a Falcon. Rashaun Agee was named a Co-Player of the Week last week as well.
Hill paced the Falcons to two more wins, giving them 12 wins in the last 13 games and seven-straight at home. In total, Hill added two more 20-point games, bringing his season total to nine and his streak to three, while also logging his first double-double of the season with a career-high 11 rebounds in the win over WMU. Hill began the week with 23 points in the win over Miami (OH), including two late layups to push the Falcons in front for the win. As for the game against Western Michigan, Hill posted his first double-double with 28 points and 11 rebounds, including making six straight free throws late in the game to secure the win.

The Falcons will stay at home for their next game, hosting the Kent State Golden Flashes on Tuesday (Jan. 23) for a 7 p.m. tip at the Stroh Center. The game will be a Black Out with fans being asked to wear black in the stands.
