BGSU Hockey Picks up Two Points in Shootout against Michigan Tech

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green Falcons (5-5-2, CCHA 2-2-2) picked up a pair of CCHA points with a shootout victory over the Michigan Tech Huskies (7-4-1, 5-2-1). Both teams were able to score twice through regulation time and were unable to find the winner in overtime. BGSU was able to win in the shootout with Brody Waters and Brett Pfoh scoring and Cole Moore saving both shots he faced.
In the win, junior Dalton Norris recorded his fourth multi-point game of his career and second of the season with a goal and assist. Senior Christian Stoever had his first start of the season and recorded 43 saves in 47:08 minutes played in net.
Notables
The Falcons will travel to Mankato, Minn., to take on the Minnesota State Mavericks in a conference series on Dec.6-7.

- Both teams were able to find the back of the net in the first period, with Stoever recording 15 in the first period to keep the Huskies off the board.
- The Falcons broke through at 4:16 in the second on the powerplay after the Huskies went to the box for too many men on the ice. Waters found Norris on the backside of the net who tapped the puck in for the first goal of the night for the Falcons.
- With under five minutes left in the second, the Falcons would capitalize on a bouncing puck on the powerplay, that was tapped in by Martin to extend the lead to 2-0.
- Michigan Tech would find two quick goals in the beginning of the third to equalize the game at 2.
- Neither team was able to find the back of the net for the rest of the regulation and overtime period. In the overtime period, BGSU went 4-5 on faceoffs.
