February 15, 2024 | Men's Basketball
CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference in partnership with CBS announced Thursday morning (Feb. 15) that the Bowling Green road game against Ohio has been selected to air nationally on CBS Sports Network. The announcement will move the game from Saturday, March 2 to Friday, March 1 and is scheduled for a 6 p.m. tip at the Convocation Center in Athens, Ohio.Â
The game between the Falcons and Bobcats will mark the third conference contest to air on national TV for the Orange and Brown this season, previously facing Akron on CBSSN and scheduled to host Toledo on ESPNU next Friday (Feb. 23). The total of three nationally televised games this season is the most for Bowling Green since having four during the 2020-21 campaign, three of which were in conference play. It will also be the second straight trip to Athens that will be on national TV for BGSU after closing out the 2022-23 season on CBSSN against Ohio.Â
The Falcons and Bobcats are currently tied for fourth in the MAC, both with a 7-4 conference record. On the season, the Falcons hold a record of 16-8 while Ohio is 13-11. In the first meeting between the two, taking place on Jan. 9, the Falcons claimed an 83-78 victory over Ohio. All five Bowling Green starters reached double-digit points in the game, led by Trey Thomas with 20. Rashaun Agee also hauled in 15 rebounds in the game, the most by a Falcon this season, and tallied a career-high six assists.Â
