ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. - The Bowling Green men's golf team finished 20th out of 22 teams at Western Carolina's Peoples Championship. The three-day event had the third round canceled due to inclement weather. The three-day event was contested at the Sea Palms Resort, a par-71, 6,664-yard course in St. Simons, Ga. The event was called on Saturday with roughly five holes to play and reverted to the team and individual scores through two rounds.

"The storms rolled through and wiped out the third round with about five holes left. It was a bummer because we were having a pretty good third round and moving up the board a bit. It was our best round of the event, but it won't be reflected in the final scoring. Ethan [Irvine] was solid again and is coming along very nicely. We had some solid stretches of golf but need to do a better job closing out our rounds.
