How it happened
- Noah Morneau opened the scoring, as Dominik Rymon picked up a loose puck behind the Ferris net, feeding Quinn Emerson in the high slot, who slid the puck over to Morneau who dispatched it into an open net.
- Jaden Grant then got his third of the season, as Jack Blake took the puck wide around the Ferris State defenseman, throwing the puck towards the goal. Quinn Emerson jammed away at the puck in the blue crease, until eventually it fell to the stick of Jaden Grant who tucked the puck past the goaltender.
- Just :20 later, Jaden Grant found the back of the net again, after Max Martin settled a bouncing puck and found Tyler Hotson, who slid a backhand feed over to Grant in the slot. Grant settled the pass on the spin and slid a backhand shot through the five-hole of the Ferris State goaltender.
- Six minutes into the third period, Brody Waters entered the Ferris State zone, but was knocked down on the play and lost his stick. Brandon Whynott then fired a shot on goal, and Ben Doran picked up the rebound and slid a pass across to Waters who was retrieving his stick, who then fired a shot into an open net to restore the Falcons three goal lead.
- Waters would then get on the scoresheet again on the power play with 33.6 seconds remaining. Jackson Niedermayer controlled the puck at the blue line, finding Noah Morneau on the right circle who slid a pass across to the left circle, where Brody Waters fired a wrist shot past the goaltender to make it 5-2.
- Tyler Palmer delivered a stellar performance in goal, as he made 14 saves and his teammates blocked another nine shots in front of him.
