A holiday message from Director of Athletics Derek van der Merwe as we close out 2025 and head into 2026.
Falcon Family,
I want to wish you and your family the very best this Holiday Season. The Bowling Green community has been my “home” for now just over three years. What my family and I have most embraced is the network of Falcon faithful living around the country who still count this community as home. Who still love and are committed to this great university regardless of distance away or years since returning to campus!
This community and its people remain the roots of a great tree that continues to blossom around the country and world. The simple values of kindness, care and curiosity still connect and bind this vast community together. We proudly celebrate our rich history, outstanding alumni and the important traditions that make us Falcons.
