The Falcons Nest Coaches Show Continues Monday Night With Simon, Carr
January 12, 2026 | General, Men's Basketball, Ice Hockey
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The weekly Falcons Nest Coaches Show presented by Fricker's, returns Monday night (Jan. 12) on Falcon Sports Radio Network stations hosted by the Voice of the Falcons, Todd Walker. This week's show will feature two sports, beginning with head men's basketball coach Todd Simon at 6 p.m. Simon will be followed by associate head hockey coach Curtis Carr at 6:30 p.m. Both Simon and Carr will be in-person with Walker at the Bowling Green Fricker's.
This year's show will be hosted in a special room at Fricker's with a maximum capacity of 55. Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. To ensure an enjoyable and timely experience for all fans, there will not be autograph opportunities — but this creates a more interactive, conversational atmosphere to connect with BGSU coaches and fans.
Fans are encouraged to submit questions by clicking HERE. You can also interact with Todd Walker on Twitter at @FalconsVoice. For fans unable to make the show in person at Fricker's, the show can be heard locally on WFRO 99.1 FM, 100.7 FM in Toledo, 1280 WONW in Defiance and 970 WFUN in Ashtabula. There will also be streams through BGSUFalcons.com and "The Varsity Network" app from Learfield Sports.
The men's basketball team will have a brief break with no game during the midweek due to the uneven number of teams in the MAC. The Falcons will resume play on Saturday (Jan. 17), hosting the Eastern Michigan Eagles for a 1 p.m. start in the Stroh Center, the beginning of a BGSU triple-header for the day.
The hockey team enters the week with a 5-0-1 record over their last six games, including a 5-1 win over Ferris State in their last contest. The Orange and Brown will remain home this weekend, hosting Lake Superior State with a 7:07 p.m. puck drop both Friday (Jan. 16) and Saturday (Jan. 17) against the Lakers.
