How It HappenedÂ

- Bowling Green earned a few power play looks in the first period, but Niagara was able to thwart off the attempts to keep the score at a 1-0 BGSU lead at the end of the first period.Â
- At the 13-minute mark of the second period, Niagara netted the game-tying goal for a 1-1 score. The score held to the end of the period despite a flurry of penalties for both teams.
- In the third, Niagara scored the deciding goal. The Falcons skated with an empty net most of the final two minutes for the man advantage, but the 2-1 score held.Â
