Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Athletes of the Week as selected by the strategic communications and external relations departments based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winner are hockey forward  Noah Morneau and women's soccer defender Taylor Green.  Â

Male Athlete of the Week Â
Noah Morneau, a sophomore from Windsor, Ontario, led the team with nine shots in both games for a weekend sweep against Lake Superior State. Morneau had a huge game for the Falcons in their 6-2 win over the Lakers on Friday (Oct. 23). He tallied up a total of three points, scoring two goals, while also adding on an assist, being part of the three of BGSU's six goals in the game. Morneau followed up on Saturday (Oct. 24) by adding another assist in the Falcons 4-2 win over the Lakers. Overall Morneau finished the weekend with two goals and two assists for four total points in for the Falcons. Â

Female Athlete of the Week Â
Taylor Green, a senior from Plainfield, Illinois, anchored the BGSU defense to allow just two shots on goal in 90 minutes to help the Falcons post a 2-0 win over Buffalo this past Saturday (Oct. 24). Green missed the previous two matches due to injury, came back and played all 90 minutes for BGSU's win. The Falcons are 7-3-5 overall as BGSU enters final week of the regular season with a MAC record of 3-2-4.  Â
