Emerson Earns ‘A’ for Remainder of Season
February 10, 2026 | Ice Hockey
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Bowling Green State University ice hockey head coach Dennis Williams announced that senior forward Quinn Emerson will wear an "A" as an alternate captain for the remainder of the 2025–26 season. Emerson first wore the "A" in Saturday's 3-1 win over then-No. 15 St. Thomas.
Emerson has been a driving force for the Falcons on and off the ice, combining consistent production with leadership that has earned the respect of teammates and staff.
"I am very honored to add Quinn to our leadership group," said Williams. "He shows up every single day with a team-first mindset, leads with genuine care for his teammates, and plays the game the right way—shift after shift, night in and night out. His consistency, character, and compete level set the standard for our locker room."
The Manhattan Beach, Calif., native currently leads BGSU with 30 points and 21 assists, while his nine goals are tied for the team lead. Emerson was recently named CCHA Forward of the Week after helping propel the Falcons during conference play.
On a league and national level, Emerson ranks second in the CCHA and 17th nationally in assists per game, while also sitting fourth in the conference in points per game, underscoring his role as one of the league's most productive forwards.
BGSU returns to action at No. 18 Augustana this weekend. Both games will air on Midco Sports Plus with an 8:07 p.m. ET puck drop on Friday, followed by a 7:07 p.m. start on Saturday.
