Falcons Fall Just Short at Youngstown State

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -Â Â Bowling Green State University State (BGSU) women's tennis team fell just short to the Youngstown State Penguins 4-3.
DOUBLES
- YSU took the first point of the match, winning the doubles portion 2-1.
- Grabbing the win in the doubles portion for the Falcons was the duo Konstantina Adamopoulou and Leticia Fonseca, winning their match 6-4.
- The team of Libby Blair and Kiera suffered their second loss of the season as a team, losing the match 6-3.
- Coming down to the final match to see who would take the point, the team of Qianyu Liu and Tia Clemens fell in a tough 7^9 - 6^7 match as the Penguins took the point.Â
SINGLES
- The Falcons only took one singles match in the contest.
- Qianyu Liu won her match, 6-2 and 6-2.
- Konstantina Adamopoulou claimed victory over her opponent 6-3, 3-6 and 6-2.
- Libby Blair made a great comeback to earn a victory on court four. Winning 6-7, 6-4 and 6-0.
- Leticia Fonseca was defeated 6-1 and 6-0.
- Kiera Taylor was defeated 6-3 and 6-0.

- Next up, the Falcons stay on the northeast side of Ohio, taking on Cleveland State on Sunday, Feb. 22. The match is set to begin at 2 p.m as the Falcons look to bounce back.
