McKinley, Crampton Earn All-CCHA Honors for Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) has announced its 2025-26 All-CCHA teams, with two student-athletes from Bowling Green State University earning recognition. Junior defenseman Breck McKinley was named to the All-CCHA Second Team, while freshman defenseman Brayden Crampton was selected to the CCHA All-Rookie Team.
In total, 17 student-athletes from seven programs were recognized across the All-Rookie, Second Team and First Team honors. St. Thomas led all programs with five honorees, while Michigan Tech and Minnesota State each placed three players on the all-league teams.
McKinley Named All-CCHA Second Team
McKinley, a junior from St. Albert, Alberta, earned All-CCHA Second Team honors after a standout season on the Falcons' blue line. He recorded one goal and 18 assists for 19 points in 26 conference games, finishing with a +9 rating while contributing 40 shots on goal, 21 blocked shots, and one game-winning goal. McKinley logged heavy minutes for Bowling Green, averaging 23:27 of ice time per game during league play.
His season highlight came on Dec. 6 against Northern Michigan, when he totaled three points (one goal, two assists) in a 4-3 Falcon victory. Overall, McKinley finished the season with two goals and 24 assists for 26 points in 36 games.
Crampton Earns Spot on All-Rookie Team
Crampton, a freshman from Chilliwack, British Columbia, was named to the CCHA All-Rookie Team following a strong debut season.
Among conference rookie defensemen, Crampton led the league with 12 points on three goals and nine assists in 25 CCHA games, while posting a +7 rating. He also topped first-year blueliners with 70 shots on goal, while adding 21 blocked shots and averaging 21:14 minutes per game.
In 33 games overall, Crampton has totaled three goals and 14 assists for 17 points, posting a +5 rating and 25 blocked shots. The honors continue a strong season for the Falcons' defensive corps, with both McKinley and Crampton playing key roles on the Bowling Green blue line throughout the year.
