BGSU Sits 29th of 52 After Second Day of NICs

OCALA, Fla. – Bowling Green ended the second day of competition at the National Invitational Championship in 29th, further adding to their point total.
Emily McNicol finished 27th in the 100 backstroke with a 55.27 race, and Bella Treib finished in 55.69. In the 100 breaststroke, Lauren Jablonski posted a 1:03.56 finish, while Maddie Bond paced to 4:33.58 and Bridget Kurtzweil in 4:36.47 in the 400 individual medley.
The meet ended with the 800 freestyle relay, where BGSU placed 15th. Astrid Garcia, Bond, Alex Johnson and Morgan Sokol touched in at 7:46.87.
The Falcons currently have 97 points, placing them 29th in a field of 52. They currently lead Toledo (37th) and will return for their final day of competition Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m.
