Falcons Claim Doubles Point in First Game in California

Irvine, Calif. - The Bowling Green State University women's tennis team fell just short to UC Irvine 4-3.

DOUBLES

Bowling Green earned the first point of the contest, taking two of the doubles matches.
Tia Clemens and Qianyu Liu earned a 6-3 win, defeating Carolynn Fowler and Amillia Perez.
Libby Blair and Letecia Fonseca took the win from Yen Nhi Huynh and Haily Huynh, 6-4.
Quin Brady and Isabella Pitchford of UC Irvine defeated Konstantina Adamopoulou and Brynn Chaffee 6-3.

SINGLES

They fell in four singles matches to UC Irvine in a very close match-up.
Four of the six singles matches went into the third set.
Brynn Chaffee got a victory after defeating Maily Huynh 6-1, 4-6, and 6-3.
Leticia Fonseca earned a win, defeating Isabella Pitchford 6-4 and 6-2.
Yen Nhi Huynh defeated Tia Clemens 1-6, 3-6, 6-4.
Amanda Perez defeated Qianyu Liu 6-1 and 6-0.
Hailey Huynh defeated Konstantina Adamopoulou 1-6, 7-6, and 2-6.
