Falcons Take Doubles Point in Western Michigan

KALAMAZOO, Mich.-Â The Bowling Green State University (BGSU) tennis team earned the doubles point but ultimately fell to the Western Michigan Broncos 5-2.

- The Falcons earned the first point of the contest, winning two of three doubles matches.
- Tia Clemens and Qianyu Liu def. Lola Glantz and Ayana Yaguchi 6-3 on Court #1.
- Marielou Baudouin and Frida Weijerman def. Kiera Taylor and Libby Blair 6-3 on Court #2.
- The team of Konstantina Adamopoulou and Leticia Fonseca def. Polina Khota and Julia Frazier 6-4 to secure the doubles point on Court #3.
SINGLES
- The Broncos won five of six singles matches.
- Four of the six singles matches went into the third set.Â
- Libby Blair was the lone Falcon to earn a singles victory,
- On Court #1, Tia Clemens was defeated by Lola Glantz 6-0, 6-1.
- On Court #2, Sienna Osborn defeated Konstantina Adamopoulou 6-4, 6-4.
- Audrey Smitek def. Qianyu Liu by retirement in the third set after Liu was injured.Â
- Frida Weijerman def. Kiera Taylor in three sets, 3-6, 6-4, 6-1.
- Libby Blair def. Ayana Yaguchi in three sets, 6-2, 7-6, 6-4.
- Polina Khotko def. Leticia Fonseca in the three sets, 6-4, 2-6, 6-1,
