Stroh Center Visitors Headlined By Missouri, Dayton
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University volleyball team has announced the full schedule for the upcoming 2026 season. The non-conference schedule joins the MAC slate, which was previously announced on April 29. Additionally, season and single-game tickets are now on-sale for all BGVB matches.
The Falcons are slated for 27 matches during the 2026 campaign this year, beginning the schedule against Ohio State on Aug. 28. The entirety of BGSU's non-conference schedule will take place in the state of Ohio with the first trip out of state for the Orange and Brown being in conference play at Buffalo on Oct. 16, one of only three trips out of state during the regular season for the Falcons.
In total, the Falcons will face four 2025 NCAA Tournament participants over the course of the upcoming season as well as multiple teams that finished as runner-ups in their conference tournaments a season ago.
"Our goal is to put our team in situations that require us to compete at a high level, adapt, and improve throughout the season," said head volleyball coach Alex DelPiombo. "We have younger players taking on new roles and the opportunity for challenges is welcomed. We think this schedule helps us be battle tested before MAC play begins.
"Hosting two weekends is something we're really excited about. It gives our fans and student-athletes the opportunity to enjoy competitive and high-level volleyball in a great atmosphere at Stroh. We're looking forward to showcasing our growth and celebrating with our fans."

Season tickets can be purchased online or by calling the BGSU Ticket Office at 419-372-0000 with season tickets starting at $85. Single-game tickets are on-sale as well for the full duration of the BGSU Volleyball season. The BGSU Ticket Office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Clear Bag Mandate
For fans attending any games moving forward at BGSU venues, including the Stroh Center, a clear bag mandate will be in effect. Media attending will need to use only the media entrance as part of the mandate. For more information, please click here to see the mandate.
BGSU Volleyball Non-Conference Schedule Information
The 2026 campaign for Bowling Green will begin on Aug. 28 with a three-match slate at Ohio State as part of the Jim Stone Challenge. The Falcons will start the season against the Buckeyes on Aug. 28 with a 6 p.m. first serve. The invitational will continue against 2025 Horizon League Tournament runner-up Northern Kentucky on Aug. 29 at 1 p.m. before concluding on Aug. 30 against Fresno State at 11 a.m.
The Falcons will return home for the first time during the season on Sept. 4 to host the Best Western Invitational, welcoming two 2025 NCAA Tournament participants in Arkansas State and American University as well as Northern Kentucky to the Stroh Center. BGSU will take on Arkansas State at 1 p.m. and American at 7 p.m. on Sept. 4 as part of a four-match day inside the Stroh. The invitational will wrap on on Sept. 5 with a pair of matches, including Bowling Green hosting Northern Kentucky at 5 p.m., their second meeting of the season.
The Falcons will hit the road again on Sept. 11, playing in an invitational hosted by Xavier. The Orange and Brown open against Austin Peay at 3 p.m. on Sept. 11 before having two matches on Sept. 12, beginning with Saint Louis at 10 a.m. followed by host and 2025 NCAA Tournament participant Xavier at 7:30 p.m.
The non-conference slate will conclude for the Falcons with a joint invitational hosted by both Bowling Green and Toledo. BGSU and UT will host 23-win Dayton and Missouri with the Falcons hosting Dayton on Sept. 18 at 7 p.m. and Missouri at 12 p.m. on Sept. 19. BGSU and Toledo will not face as part of the invitational, saving their meetings for MAC play.
BGSU Volleyball MAC Schedule Information
Conference competition for the Falcons will open on Thursday, Sept. 24 at home, playing host to Miami (OH) with the two-match set concluding on Friday, Sept. 25. BGSU will hit the road for the first time in MAC play the following weekend, facing off with the Kent State Golden Flashes on Thursday, Oct. 1 and Friday, Oct. 2.
The home and away weekends will continue to alternate, a common theme through conference play for BGSU, returning home for a weekend set with Ohio. The two-match weekend will begin on Friday, Oct. 9 and wrap on Saturday, Oct. 10. The back-and-forth will then take Bowling Green on the road for a split weekend, heading to Buffalo on Friday, Oct. 16 and catching Akron on the way back on Saturday, Oct. 17.
The home schedule for the Orange and Brown will resume on Friday, Oct. 23 against Central Michigan, again facing the Chippewas on Saturday, Oct. 24. The final two-match weekend for the Falcons will conclude the month of October, facing Ball State in Muncie on Friday the 30th and Saturday the 31st for Halloween.
The first match in the 2026 Battle of I-75 will be in Bowling Green on Tuesday, Nov. 3. The Falcons will return the favor a week later on Tuesday, Nov. 10 with a trip to Savage Arena. Between the matches against Toledo, BGSU will head to Kalamazoo on Saturday, Nov. 7 to face Western Michigan. The regular season will then conclude for Bowling Green on Friday, Nov. 13 at home, hosting Eastern Michigan.
