Coming off a historical season on the course, Addison Kartusch showcases how Bowling Green is building student-athletes not only within their sports, but for life beyond.
The Bowling Green State University (BGSU) women's golf team was one of the biggest stories in BGSU Athletics during the 2025–26 season. The Falcons put together a historic campaign, earning just the second postseason appearance in program history while compiling 107 wins throughout the year.
One of the biggest contributors to that success was Addison Kartusch.

Kartusch set the tone for the season immediately, claiming individual medalist honors at the A-Ga-Ming Invitational in Arizona.
“We started off pretty hot,” said Kartusch. “It showed that the hard work we put in over the summer paid off. The team got a win, and we were all pretty excited. It was a good confidence booster for the rest of the year.”

After the opening tournament, Kartusch and the Falcons continued their strong play throughout the season. BGSU finished in the top five at every tournament it entered and placed third at the Mid-American Conference Women's Golf Championship. Their success earned the Falcons a berth in the postseason, marking just the second postseason appearance in program history.
While the Falcons excelled on the course, Kartusch also distinguished herself in the classroom, maintaining a perfect 4.00 cumulative GPA through her sophomore year while majoring in Business.

“It’s definitely a big time-management thing, but the amazing support staff we have has definitely helped me. Both coaches have done nothing but support me. My teammates and all the people they’ve put around me for support are a big reason for it.”Addison Kartusch

Kartusch and the Falcons closed their historic season at the National Golf Invitational, but there was still one more milestone to achieve.
Kartusch etched her name into the tournament record book by shooting a total of 209 (-7) in three-rounds, setting a new tournament record. That score was good to win the individual championship, becoming the first Falcon in program history to win a postseason tournament.
The victory served as the perfect ending to a historic season for both Kartusch and the Falcons, further cementing their place in BGSU women's golf history.
